After an extensive analysis of the soil it was possible to identify three areas of calcareous clay suitable for vines. In the year 2,000 an initial planting of 19 hectares of Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot was carried out, using the trellis system with a density of 5,000 vines per hectare.
Since that moment a rigorous policy of integrated viticulture has been followed, showing the maximum respect for the environment. We use no pesticides and weed control is carried out manually to avoid the need for herbicides. We can now be totally satisfied that our vineyards are sufficiently developed to be capable of producing the highest quality grapes, and in order to get the best out of the vines we limit the vintage to 100,000 kilos of grapes.
